What does this role entail? : As an OSP Supervisor, you are responsible for supervising outside plant construction projects in all
aspects of CATV Outside Plant construction, splicing, activation, testing, and maintenance. You will play a
vital role in the execution of technical projects by providing a positive team culture and overseeing
project requirements. An OSP Supervisor will have strong knowledge of HFC plant’s relevant rules,
regulations, and quality standards and possess the ability to train and mentor employees using effective
communication skills
What Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities will help you to be successful in this role?:
- CATV Outside Plant experience.
- High School Diploma/ GED plus applicable vocational training/ industry experience including 3+ years of previous supervisory experience
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and delegate when appropriate with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Must hold a valid state driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record, and the ability to obtain and keep a DOT medical card.
- Must have the ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, and off hours as required.
- Knowledge of HFC plant, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Understanding all facets of fiber and coax testing and deployment.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to build strong relationships
within the Patriot team, vendors and with our clients. - Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office suite
- Physical Requirements include:
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times, stressful environment.
Must be able to work in heights and confined spaces.
Push, pull, and lift up to 75 pounds or more and stand for 8-hour shifts
Ability to work in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions
Able to sit in a vehicle and drive to various locations for extended periods of time - An ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions with a combination of office and field
environments. This includes work in extreme weather temperatures and all types of weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- Min of 5 years experience in OSP telecom industry.
- A valid drivers license.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical certification card.
- Willingness to participate and pass a background check, Motor Vehicle Records check, and a drug screening.
