Internship Opportunity

The Candidate:

  • You are a design or marketing student, recent graduate, or in a related field with an interest in marketing creative design.

  • You can create engaging designs for digital marketing materials including display ads, social media graphics, website banners, email templates, and infographics.

  • Video and video editing skills a plus

  • You can write persuasively to drive awareness and sales.

  • You are a creative self-starter and idea-generator with excellent team collaboration and analytical skill.

  • You can effectively communicate how your design accomplishes objectives and are able to implement feedback from peers to strengthen your work.

  • You’re naturally curious and want to learn from experienced professionals



Responsibilities:

Marketing Design - 90%

  • Generate new angles and opportunities for marketing campaigns

  • Design direct response and brand display ads

  • Copywriting for search ads, scripts, native headlines and more

  • Create branded social media posts using existing templates

  • Work with Creative Director and Creative Manager to facilitate creative strategy


A/B (Split Testing) - 10%

  • Generate hypotheses and ideas to test in our sales funnels

  • Design split tests and create iterations based upon test outcomes


Requirements:

  • Portfolio of work (required: must include portfolio site link or a link to examples of your work in your resume/application)

  • Working towards a design degree/certification or recently graduated with one

  • You are familiar with using Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and Canva

  • Strong understanding of design principles including layout, typography, and color theory

  • Excellent communication skills to be able to clearly articulate design objectives, concepts, and decisions

  • In-person work in our office in Mission Valley collaborating in person with other team members

  • Able to work under general supervision and independently work as self-starter to meet accomplish tasks

  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented, able to multitask, and flexible to quickly change priorities

Nice to Have:

  • Video production and editing skills (Adobe Premiere, Capcut)

  • Motion graphic experience

  • Long form copywriting experience

  • An interest in A/B (split) testing


Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 an hour

Scheduling :

  • Hours: Min 12 hours - Max 16 per week

  • Cadence: 2-3 days per week

  • Duration: 4 months

  • Start Date: ASAP


Work Days: 2 days a week in the San Diego (Mission Valley) office

Hours: May not exceed 8 hours per day or 20 hours per week. Work schedule will be determined by the selected student intern candidate and the hiring manager.

The pay range reflects the salary amount the Company reasonably expects to pay for the position. It is not a guarantee of actual compensation or a specific payment amount to any candidate. The actual compensation will depend on numerous factors including, without limitation, a particular candidate’s experience and qualifications.
