As a Systems Integration Lead Engineer - GRAIL Lab you will:
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert and Systems Integration Lead Engineer for the integration activities of the Gateway Ready Avionic Integration Lab (GRAIL), a critical integration effort of the Gateway Program which will return to the Moon
- Collaborate with lab personnel, partners, providers, and testing stakeholders to understand interface and testing requirements
- Leverage interface knowledge to assure lab design provides the proper interfaces and fidelity to satisfy testing objectives
- Develop expertise on lab verification efforts and ensure facility is applicable for assigned testing
- Assist in lab equipment testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure equipment meets requirements and is satisfactorily integrated
- Maintain strict documentation of integration processes, equipment specifications, configurations, and testing results
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
- Provide support to lab personnel and external customers on integrated systems and their specifications
- Continuously reassess documents, policies, and procedures for future configurations of the lab
- Participate and contribute to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews, and critical design reviews
- Communicate and organize to efficiently work within a team environment
- Perform other duties as required
Here's What You'll Need:
Requisition Qualifications:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2- 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in engineering or systems engineering
- Experience integrating complex hardware and software systems
- Troubleshooting, diagnostic, and debugging skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment
- Knowledge of test principles, tools, and processes needed to develop test requirements
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in the space hardware field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, and material selection
- Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings
- Able to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision
- Experience working in a team environment
Requisition Preferences:
- Knowledge of Flight Hardware and/or Flight Processes/Paperwork is a plus
- Experience with NASA processes is a plus
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency may be a requirement for this position.
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.

Essential Functions
Work Environment
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

Attendance
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
