Position Title: Physical Therapist

Employment Type: Full Time

Shift Times: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Weekend Requirement: Occasional weekend coverage as needed

On-call Requirement: As required for patient care

Holiday Requirement: As per rotation

Desired Start Date: ASAP

Salary Range: $57.02 - $70.13 per hour


Job Summary:


The Physical Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, consultation, and treatment of patients across various age groups. This role encompasses the overall utilization, supervision, and instruction of professional and supportive staff, including volunteers and students, within the domain of physical therapy.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and reassessments of patients according to the therapy needed, covering pediatric to geriatric populations.
  • Develop and progress patient plans of care to achieve prior levels of function or maximum medical improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient care records, including progress reports and daily notes.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to Physical Therapist Assistants and other ancillary staff.
  • Engage with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide effective communication and education.


Accountability:


  • Reports directly to the Rehabilitation Department Manager.


Special Demands:


  • Mental: Strong communication skills are required to interact effectively with staff, physicians, patients, and their families. Must be capable of independent decision-making and adaptability to various patient care situations.
  • Physical: Requires manual dexterity to operate therapeutic equipment and perform hands-on patient care. Must be able to lift and assist patients and handle equipment weighing 20 pounds or more.


Qualifications:


  • Education: Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Experience: Open to new graduates; experienced therapists are also encouraged to apply.
  • License: Must hold current Colorado Physical Therapist Licensure.
  • Certifications: BLS certification preferred.

  • Provides care across multiple settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and home health.
