As an Experienced HR Generalist at Famous Smoke Shop, you will take on a multifaceted role crucial to our HR operations and overall administrative efficiency. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of HR and administrative functions, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.


HR Generalist Functions:

  • Spearheading recruitment initiatives, including coordinating interviews, managing candidate communications, and assisting with candidate evaluations.
  • Facilitating employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including handling documentation, conducting orientations, and ensuring a smooth transition for new and departing employees.
  • Maintaining meticulous employee records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with HR policies and legal requirements.
  • Managing benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and addressing employee inquiries regarding benefits packages.
  • Maintain safety records and facilitate the safety committee.
  • Playing a key role in employee relations activities, such as organizing employee events, addressing basic HR inquiries, and fostering a positive work environment.


Administrative Assistant Functions:

  • Managing calendars and scheduling appointments for executives, department heads, and the HR team, optimizing time management and workflow efficiency.
  • Handling various forms of correspondence, both internal and external, including emails, phone calls, and mail, with professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Organizing and maintaining comprehensive files, records, and documents related to HR operations and general administration, ensuring accessibility and compliance.
  • Coordinating meetings and events, from logistical arrangements to preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items, contributing to seamless event execution.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and departments to support organizational initiatives and projects as needed.
  • Providing administrative support to senior management and department heads, assisting with special projects, presentations, and reports.
  • Continuously updating knowledge of HR best practices, industry trends, and legal requirements to ensure compliance and proactive HR management.
  • Adhering to confidentiality guidelines and maintaining a high level of professionalism in handling sensitive HR and business-related information.
  • Undertaking other duties and responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the overall success and effectiveness of the HR and administrative functions.
