Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $50, 000 DOE

Principal Functions

  • Maintain a safe, accident-free environment and healthful workplace at all times.
  • Ensure all security procedures are followed.
  • Identify ABC items (RM and Commodities).
  • Perform daily counts of materials (list to be developed).
  • Monitor actual consumption versus reported consumption (via counts and ERP system).
  • Record and report waste, relative to Inventory.
  • Report variances and large discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Monitor batch count to ensure quantities are correct and consistent.
  • Monitor inventory levels of PK items daily.
  • Collaborate with PMs to determine needs within product lead times.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing for awareness of deliveries and when materials are needed.
  • Identify trends in material consumption and/or waste to develop procedures to prevent stock-outs and over-stocks.
  • Lead monthly counts and bi-annual blind audits.
  • Suggest ways to reduce variances, waste, and discrepancies, as well as control costs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager, Directors, or General Manager.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the position with reasonable accommodations, if required.
  • Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and seven – 10 years of warehouse/logistics / inventory, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to engage effectively with customers, managers, and other groups.
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP/MRP systems (i.e. SAP, Seradex, Microsoft Dynamics) and QMS. Ability to learn other software as required.

Physical Demands

  • In general, this is an indoor position. Some office work; some floor work.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit and use hands to handle and feel product.
