Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTION: The Quality Assurance Lab Technician, under the direction of the Quality Assurance Assistant Manager, is responsible for performing laboratory tasks related to the collection, sampling, and testing of products using aseptic techniques. This includes ensuring process control and product safety in compliance with FDA, FSMA, and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
To fulfill this role effectively, individuals must be able to perform the following essential functions. R

1. Maintain and update raw material supplier information.
2. Conduct tests for titrateable acidity, moisture, pH, and Babcock fat testing on wet blended products multiple times throughout the day.
3. Enter data and test results into the computer system, and communicate the results to processing personnel. Provide packing approval to wet blending operators based on test results.
4. Conduct visual inspections of finished samples, logging and retaining portions on shelves.
5. Perform weekly audits of the warehouse and plant, documenting any product safety or GMP violations, and informing the Quality Assurance Manager.
6. Generate specialty COAs to fulfill customer requests and obtain EU Certification for overseas shipments.
7. Receive raw materials, including entering and releasing the product in Adage after verifying requirements such as kosher status, EU status, and COA status. Collect and sample raw materials, or send them to an external laboratory for additional sampling.
8. Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in entering COA information on finished products and releasing finished products in Adage. Cover for the Quality Assurance Manager in case of absence.

Schedule - Monday – Friday, 8 – 4
