We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to enhance our operations at our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, qualify, and cultivate relationships with suppliers and manufacturing service providers.
  • Support and drive quality initiatives within our manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, or quality management within an ISO 9001 certified environment.
  • Familiarity with processes such as Machining, Casting, Forging, Heat Treatment, and/or Gear Manufacturing.
  • Experience collaborating directly with suppliers is advantageous.
  • Background in auditing processes and quality systems is a plus.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Proficient in ERP systems.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Communication Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities across all organizational levels.
  • Capable of establishing strong working relationships with external suppliers.
  • Adept at ensuring suppliers adhere to Twin Disc's quality standards.
  • Skilled in articulating our quality expectations to current and prospective suppliers.
  • Competent in creating reports and presentations for diverse internal and external audiences.

Analytical Skills:

  • Ability to gather and analyze data, interpret trends, and implement data-driven measures and controls.
  • Experience with measurement tools (CMM, Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, Depth Gages, Height Stands, etc.).
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and understanding GD&T.

Work Environment:

  • This position is primarily based in a manufacturing setting.
  • Frequent travel to suppliers and potential suppliers is required, with occasional overnight travel.

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Understanding of quality systems, manufacturing processes, and quality auditing practices.
