The Opportunity: Reporting to the Global Director of People, the Human Resources Business Partner will play a pivotal role in driving our brand and supporting our high-growth plans across the region. This hands-on position requires proactive leadership in HR operations, strategic planning, and managing the end-to-end employee experience. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with local teams in Canada and the US, as well as liaise with leaders in global locations.

What You Will be Accountable For:

  • Alignment of People and Culture Objectives: Collaborate with the Global Director of People to ensure regional alignment with overarching HR objectives.
  • HR Program Effectiveness: Review and optimize existing HR programs and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Compliance and Legal Adherence: Ensure all HR initiatives and programs comply with legal and regulatory standards across North America.
  • Employee Engagement: Lead and support local leaders in driving employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment.
  • Communication and Change Management: Plan and develop communication materials related to HR programs and initiatives. Assist in change management initiatives as needed.
  • Employee Relations and Risk Management: Coach local managers on employee relations matters, employment law interpretation, conflict resolution, and risk mitigation.
  • Leadership Development: Collaborate with management and HR teams to identify and address leadership development needs.
  • Performance Management: Partner with management to execute the annual performance review and career development processes.
  • Talent Attraction and Retention: Partner with local teams to execute strategies that support company growth through effective attraction, retention, and development of talent.

What You Will Bring:

  • Experience: 4+ years of progressive experience as an HR Business Partner.
  • Leadership and Coaching: Demonstrated success in leading and coaching business leaders on HR initiatives.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with management and teams.
  • Global Exposure: Exposure to or experience working in a global organization is advantageous.
  • Recruitment Expertise: Experience in high-volume recruitment and managing growth within an organization.
  • Flexibility: Ability to support leaders across different time zones, occasionally requiring availability outside of standard working hours.
