Position Title: Regional Organizing Director

Reporting Structure: Project Director

Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position is $66,000 to $78,000, depending on experience and skill sets.

Job Classification: Full time, exempt
Schedule: Monday through Sunday, 9:30AM to 9:00PM

Location: On-site, Monday through Sunday

Benefits: RFS offers all full-time employees who remain with our team for more than three months full health care, dental, and vision benefits. Any job-related travel, lodging, and other expenses are paid for by RFS.

Role:

Revolution Field Strategies is seeking a highly motivated Regional Organizing Director (ROD) to develop and lead a voter registration office in Phoenix, AZ. As a ROD, you will build local grassroots teams that will then engage in registering voters, canvasser recruitment, and canvasser retention. Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, train, and manager a team of organizers and canvassers

  • Collaborate with state leadership to develop and implement all components of a strategic petitioning operation in a key area

  • Analyze daily and weekly reports to track progress to goals and implement rigorous quality control measures

  • Communicate and coordinate as needed with client and/or partners

  • Create a canvassing plan to break down voter registration goals into daily and weekly benchmarks

Qualifications:

  • All applicants must possess a laptop computer, cell-phone

  • Reliable well-maintained vehicle that can safely be used to drive up to 2000 miles in order to travel to and from work locations and proof of driver’s insurance

  • Knowledge of NGP VAN and/or Blocks

  • Has strong ties in the community in which you are applying to work

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Familiarity with advocacy or electoral campaigns

  • Familiarity with or excitement to learn the use of data to set goals and measure progress

  • Flexible and self-motivated to identify priorities and complete work without direct supervision

  • Staff management experience as a volunteer leader, organizer, or canvass manager

  • Ability to set goals and deadlines for other people, and helped them meet those goals or deadlines

  • Has led trainings or facilitated workshops

Essential Physical Requirements

  • The individual in this position must be able to communicate with colleagues and partners via phone, including conference and video calls, as well as written communication such as email.

  • The position requires the ability to travel to and attend occasional in-person events throughout the year which may encompass all or part of the work day.

  • This position may entail other travel.

  • This position requires vision/hearing abilities.
