Job DescriptionJob Description

Physician office is seeking to hire a BS degree Medical laboratory scientist. Chemistry and Hematology experience preferred. Position is day shift, Monday - Friday. Salary compares with area hospitals. Medical, Dental and Vision benefits are options. Company paid $50K life insurance policy. Option to enroll in 401K thru ADP Totalsource. Must be a US citizen or eligible to work in the US without sponsorship. Background screening will be performed. Laboratory operates state of the art instruments and laboratory information system.

Job duties:

  • Oversees day to day laboratory operation
  • Provides supervision, training and continuing education to team members
  • Daily review of quality control data; monthly review of CLIA documentation such as QC data graph review and if needed, corrective action report
  • Performs new test validations and adheres to laboratory director approvals
  • Interviews potential new employees/assists in new employee training
  • Oversees and maintains CLIA, OSHA and HIPPA compliance
  • Quality Assurance program - responsible for monthly audit
  • Customer service - provides friendly and accurate communication to patients and co-workers

Education and Experience:

Minimum two years of clinical laboratory experience. Bachelor of science as medical laboratory scientist and meets CLIA requirements as a general supervisor is required.
