Role: Laboratory Scientist I/II

Department: Biopharma Services (Laboratory)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare solutions and reagents necessary for conducting laboratory assays.
  • Execute Next Generation Sequencing-based genomic assays across various workflows, including:
  • Whole Genome Sequencing
  • Whole Exome Sequencing
  • RNA Sequencing
  • Conduct genomic assays in accordance with Biosafety Level II standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform Operational Qualification and Performance Qualification on Next Generation Sequencing instruments.
  • Adhere strictly to established standard operating procedures for processing biological samples while following laboratory safety protocols.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all laboratory activities.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of next generation sequencing to support molecular biology methodologies.
  • Collaborate effectively within the team and across departments to meet objectives.
  • Consistently follow Standard Operating Protocols (SOP).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a minimum of 1-3 years of laboratory experience required.
  • M.S. in Biological Sciences with at least 1 year of laboratory experience preferred.
  • Strong foundation in molecular biology is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with Next Generation Sequencing platforms is preferred.
  • Experience in handling and processing client samples is advantageous.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with a positive demeanor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial.
