In addition, the Lead oversees and trains the rest of the Accounting team members and backs up the work of accounts receivable when needed. Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files.
  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
  • Process and pay all vendor invoices in finance system.
  • Add new vendors into finance system, including W9s and ACH information.
  • Reconcile company credit card and bank statements monthly, ensuring correct expense and GL accounts are used.
  • Work with Supply Chain and Operations to answer all vendor inquiries related to payments.
  • Prepare analysis of accounts, as required.
  • Train all Accounting team members on accounts receivable, payables support, and collections.
  • Back up and oversee work of team members to ensure Company finances are managed correctly.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all accounts receivable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate accounts receivable files.
  • Oversee the research and analysis of customer payment discrepancies to ensure they are handled accurately and adjust accounts as needed.
  • Review AR aging weekly and ensure collections of delinquent accounts is timely and successful.
  • Deposit daily cash receipts.
  • Assist Financial Controller in monthly closings and other projects as assigned.
  • Maintain all scheduled daily, weekly, and/or monthly deadlines.
  • Duties and responsibilities may change, and new ones may be added, at any time with or without advanced notice.
Skills & Qualifications
  • BA in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 3-5 years or more related finance and/or bookkeeping experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable training others and auditing work of others.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software, with high comfort level in Excel
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar program preferred
