POSITION: Facility Supervisor

LOCATION: Jupiter/Stuart, FL.

STATUS: Salary exempt

JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for maintenance and repair of all buildings and machinery within the buildings, except for IT related hardware
  • Maintains a responsible, trained and safety conscious workforce
  • Is a contact for all EHS and statutory audits regarding facilities issues (internal local building inspectors, fire marshals, etc.)
  • Perform project management role on all building expansion/remodeling efforts, reporting to a STECO of the Executive Team for larger projects
  • Ensures that departments are given adequate seating and/or floor-space for their overall business needs
  • Acts as a liaison between tenant and landlord.
  • Coordinates scheduling for internal resources and outside contractors and vendors for all building requirements including, but not limited to:
  1. HVAC systems
  2. Water Coolers
  3. Vending Machines
  4. Electrical systems
  5. Security system including video monitoring
  6. Custodial duties and supplies
  7. Moves, adds & changes to workspaces
  8. Maintain PSM security in compliance with company policy.
  9. Manage maintenance of production equipment, including preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Act as a Emergency Coordinator, ensuring all emergency response measures are carried out during an emergency.
  • Assist EHS and operations with the identification and proper characterization, accumulation, storage, labeling, and recycling / treatment / disposal of regulated waste (hazardous, secondary, universal other).
  • Coordinate with and maintain compliance with local officials regarding building codes.
  • Review floor plans/CAD drawings to ensure they meet both company requirements and Federal, State, and Local code compliance.
  • Proactively keeps informed of trends and developments in the industry. Identifies opportunity for improvements in any aspect of facilities management and follows through with appropriate implementation.
  • Maintains an accurate, up-to-date library of architectural and engineering drawings and building key plans.
  • Maintains limited inventories of furniture, panels and moveable walls.
  • Participates on Site’s Safety Committee.
  • Implement, maintain, monitor and provide management reports on efficient energy usage program.
  • Strongly promotes adherence to company’s business ethics policy.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education & Training

  • Bachelor’s Degree in construction management or similar area
  • In lieu of degree 15+ years of experience in facility management with a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Possesses, or has the ability to attain, industry certifications such as Facility Management Professional (FMP), Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or equivalent.
    • Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix, which includes:
      1. Initial and annual Hazardous Waste Management training.

Skills/Experience

  • Familiarity with buildings and grounds, building systems and construction methods
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and staff within the business
  • Ability to resolve situations without development of conflicts
  • Able to cultivate effective working relationships with a wide range of external professionals.
  • Space analysis and construction document familiarity
  • Possess written, verbal, and presentation skills needed to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external contacts
  • Sound financial planning and management
  • Project management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception to completion.
