Job Summary:

As Construction Safety Professionals at CMI, we prioritize the implementation of best practices, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, and cultivating a culture of safety enhancement on targeted construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Mentor, educate, and train staff on safety protocols
  • Foster a positive safety culture within the team
  • Attend safety meetings as required, at varying frequencies
  • Conduct on-site observations and recommend safety work practices
  • Facilitate pre-task planning, audits, job safety analyses (JSAs), and permit processes
  • Conduct site-specific orientations, training classes, and toolbox talks
  • Generate reports as needed by the job site

Requirements and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of direct construction safety oversight experience
  • Pharma / Lifesciences experience required
  • Comprehensive understanding of Construction Safety Standards (1926)
  • Fall protection / Roof replacement experience required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proven ability to collaborate with teams across all organizational levels
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications

Education and Education and Credentials:

  • OSHA 30 Construction certification obtained within the last 5 years
  • First Aid CPR AED certification required

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking often on rough terrain.
  • Ability to climb a ladder.
  • Ability to stoop, crawl and bend
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs

Other Requirements:

  • Background check and potential drug screening required for the position
  • Overtime and flexible working hours may be necessary based on project demands
  • Residence within a reasonable commuting distance
