Electrical Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager in a robust construction background, with a steadfast commitment to safety and quality, and a strong focus on client engagement.

In this role, you will collaborate with the Project Director and/or Senior Project Manager to lead our engineering, construction management, and superintendent teams towards achieving project goals.

  • Develop and maintain preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution plans, project scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with accounting to manage vendor and subcontractor invoicing and client billing.
  • Monitor project costs and field conditions, ensuring all changes are accurately reflected in cost reports.
  • Oversee design content and coordinate design revisions for constructability and compliance.
  • Align construction schedules with design, commissioning, and qualification requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks in partnership with senior leadership.
  • Lead the established site safety program, monitoring performance with Construction Managers and Superintendents.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients, developing innovative solutions while constructing life-impacting facilities.

Requirements include 10+ years of experience in project delivery or a related discipline, preferably in electrical and instrumentation.

Proven experience managing multi-million-dollar construction projects is a must.

A Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is required.

Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus.

Background in constructing pharmaceutical, biotech, and/or life science facilities is a strong asset.

Knowledge of piping and civil construction is necessary.

Strong communication skills, team-building abilities, and a solid work ethic are essential.

As a field contractor supervisor, you will oversee field work for IPS employees or subcontractors.
