SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

Provide services in a timely, accurate and courteous manner to credit union members. Greet and refer members to appropriate credit union staff. Route telephone calls to appropriate credit union staff.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Direct incoming telephone calls to appropriate person/department.
  • Warmly welcome walk-in inquiries and direct those persons to the appropriate NBCU department.
  • Answer general member-related inquiries, and resolve member-related issues, within appropriate guidelines.
  • Monitor daily newspaper obituaries and adhere to operational procedures regarding the handling of deceased member accounts.
  • Monitor competitor term certificate and deposit account rates weekly, according to procedure.
  • Monitor and stock office supplies daily.
  • Process online ordering of office supplies for both branches, as needed.
  • Process and sort incoming and outgoing company mail, to include certified mail, and scheduling delivery pick-ups.
  • Log incoming mailed-in loan payments/check deposits.
  • Prepare membership fee notices to be mailed.
  • Sort and organize returned mail on member accounts, according to procedure.
  • Execute tasks/projects for the Operations Department, as needed and as directed.
  • Attend Credit Union staff meetings as required.
  • Adherence to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) responsibilities which are specific to the position and reporting suspicious activities to Supervisor or BSA Officer.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience is preferred.
  • Prior administrative or call center experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience working in banking or finance is preferred.
  • Intermediate skills related to Microsoft Office applications.
