MCC Non-Ferrous Trading LLC is a metal and minerals trading company active in North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. MCC specializes in the commercial recycling of most residues and byproducts resulting from the mining, metallurgical and processing industries.

We seek a full-time Trade Finance Analyst professional. The candidate will report to the SVP, Finance and will have direct interaction with all departments.

Trade Finance Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Manages cash flow, banking operations, income, liability obligations and assets.
  • Prepare treasury reports which state the financial health of the organization.
  • Monitors organizations’ supply and transfer of money.
  • Works with financial analysts and accountants to direct asset management.
  • Monitor, manage and report daily cash management and liquidity to ensure internal managed portfolio and operational needs are met.
  • Prepare and coordinate daily cash flow reporting, cash and asset transfers, and short-term trade support to maximize financial flexibility.
  • Forecast daily cash requirements and execute financing decisions.
  • Submit funding requests to financiers and closely monitor each loan and maturity date so that we can manage loan repayments and our liquidity.
  • Negotiate Letters of Credit and ensure discounting is made in a timely manner.
  • Acting as a liaison between Finance, Operations, Trading, and Operating companies’ management teams.
  • Assisting with business development efforts including –
    1. Maintaining and building financial and operation models so that we can forecast our financial needs.
    2. Analyzing new business opportunities.
  • Manage sensitive and important information in a confidential manner.
  • Always protect the assets and interests of the company.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Trade Finance Analyst Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in Trade Finance, FP&A, financial consulting or other related field.
  • A bachelor, or advanced, degree in Finance, Economics, or a related major.
  • Experience building forecasting financial models.
  • Expert with MS Excel and proficient with other MS Office productions including PowerPoint and Word.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Trade Finance Analyst Competencies:

  • Ability to apply information and judgement in finance areas to achieve results and solve problems.
  • Ability to gain familiarity with the roles and functions of all groups within company including Trading, Operations, Finance, Accounting and all operating entities.
  • Ability to understand trade flow structure from financial and operational perspectives.
  • Understand the current and future financing needs of company to establish the most cost-efficient funding solution.
  • Understand the operations and needs of companies operating entities.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of accounting statements – balance sheet, cash flow, income statement and how they flow through each other.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, unstructured environment; be willing and able to wear many hats.
  • Proactive: motivated to take initiative to improve processes/analyses where opportunities exist.
