Quality Control Engineer

The Quality Control Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing quality control processes and procedures to ensure that Clair Global and Cohesion products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements. This role requires close collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain, to ensure that quality issues are identified, analyzed for root cause, and resolved. The successful candidate will be able to combine a hands-on approach with a deep understanding of quality control methodologies, as well as the ability to lead and mentor team members from a variety of disciplines to make quality control a part of the everyday culture.

- An ability to create successful quality control mechanisms for both quantitative and qualitative aspects of a product.
- A champion for the importance of quality control in the overall success and efficiency of a manufacturing organization.
- A passion for data driven analyses of manufacturing success and an awareness of the importance of leading indicators of product quality.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the essential functions of this job while exercising independent judgment and discretion.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Familiarity with standard quality control methodologies and manufacturing frameworks such as FMEA, Lean, Six Sigma, and ISO9001.
- Demonstrated history of success in developing and deploying quality control processes and procedures.
- Understanding of different manufacturing techniques such as woodworking, paint (wet and powder), injection molding, soft mold casting, welding, and machining and the characteristics of those methods that impact part and product quality.
- Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years of experience in quality control in a product manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality assurance, or other operations disciplines preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Design and implement comprehensive quality control processes and procedures for all stages of manufacturing.
- Establish quality benchmarks and standards in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain quality control documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and checklists.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Develop and execute testing protocols to identify defects and deviations from quality standards.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and ensure continuous improvement.
- Mentor and train factory personnel on quality control procedures.
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.
- Collect and analyze data related to product quality and manufacturing processes.
- Generate regular reports on quality performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns and complaints.
- Ensure manufacturing facilities maintain compliance with all relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare for and participate in external audits and inspections.
