Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategic Planning: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the engineering teams across multiple sites.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Team Management and Development: Recruit, train, and develop a highly skilled and motivated engineering workforce.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the engineering teams.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support career development opportunities for team members.
- Engineering Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of engineering departments, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and budgetary constraints.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, quality metrics, and resource utilization.
- Implement best practices in manufacturing processes, including stamping, CNC machining, tool and die design, welding, powder coating, and metal fabrication.
- Project Management: Lead cross-functional teams to execute engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget compliance.
- Coordinate with other departments such as production, procurement, and quality assurance to support project objectives.
- Manage resources effectively to prioritize and execute projects based on strategic importance and operational needs.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices related to engineering operations.
- Champion a culture of safety throughout the organization, promoting adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
Credentials and Experience
- 10+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Current experience leading and managing a technical team
- Ability to anticipate challenges and offer sound solutions
- Capable of preparing and presenting presentations to management and customers is required
- General knowledge of ITAR regulations
- Working knowledge of engineering software - CATIA, SolidWorks
- B.S. in Engineering or equivalent work experience
