Job Summary

 

The Traveling Technician will provide a wide range of services to support, fix, and maintain the hardware and software of the organization's computer systems. The Traveling Technician will also provide onsite hardware and networking support for Ascend Staffing’s internal users and assist with the daily operations of the IT department for 60 offices around the US. It is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is interested in IT, excited to get new skills, and ready to explore the latest technologies.

 

Essential Functions and Duties

 

  •  Travel outside of Utah 
  •  Moving office equipment
  •  New office installations
  •  Timeclock installation(UKG)
  •  Timeclock maintenance
  •  Security System (SimpliSafe)
  •  Office 365 applications
  •  Helpdesk tickets
  •  Apple and Samsung cell phones
  •  Troubleshooting printers/scanners
  •  Office equipment maintenance
  •  Proper equipment disposal
  •  Equipment inventory
  •  Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

 

  •  Must be able to lift 40 pounds
  •  Demonstrated computer skills, human relations and effective communication skills are required
  •  Excellent customer service skills
  •  Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  •  Outstanding problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
  •  Detail oriented and able to function in a team environment as well as independent work
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues remotely
