Job Summary
Assist and follow the direction of project managers, engineers and scientists to complete projects. Work assignments may include field monitoring, sample collection, information gathering, data management, and report drafting.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations or workable solutions may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Perform air emissions stack testing in accordance with established methodologies and protocols.
- Lead stack testing crews and provide on-site oversight.
- Assist project managers with data collection activities, environmental surveys, information analysis and preparation of reports and proposals on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Conduct sampling of air, soil, ground water, surface water, wastes and other environmental media in accordance with established/specified protocols.
- Assist in organizing and analyzing environmental data using computer spreadsheet, database programs, and manual methods..
- Must follow lab SOP’s
- Must meet or exceed AET’s productivity standards.
Supervisory Responsibility
- Assist in training and oversight of less experienced engineers and/or technicians.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-year vocational or college program in a field related to science, engineering or environmental issues and at least 5 years of experience; OR
- 4-year technical degree in science, engineering, or environmental related field and at least 3 years of experience. OR
- 7 years of relatable experience
- Maintain valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Some positions may require use of personal vehicle for company business. Maintain compliance with DOT driver regulations if required for position. Maintain appropriate physicals if required for position
