Job Summary

As a Field Engineer for Pavement Projects, you will provide support to engineers and technicians on various construction-related projects involving pavements and materials. Your tasks will include assisting with engineering projects, performing laboratory testing, and conducting field observations of construction materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspection, observation, and testing services
  • Conduct testing and classifications on soil, aggregate, asphalt, bedrock, and other materials
  • Perform excavation observations and other geotechnical testing and monitoring
  • Prepare reports and documentation detailing test results and recommendations
  • Maintain client and in-house communication for ongoing projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 0-3 years of related experience
  • Ability to achieve professional registration (PE or PG)
  • Knowledge of fundamental engineering principles and ability to apply them to the job
Work Environment

This role primarily operates in a field environment with outdoor conditions, uneven ground, and adverse weather. You will also work in an office environment and use standard office equipment.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, using hands and fingers, and reaching with hands and arms. You will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally push or pull equipment weighing up to 200 pounds.
