As a construction material handler, you will process incoming and outgoing commercial electrical wholesale material. The ideal candidate will have recent work experience from a commercial electrical wholesale supplier. The work schedule for the material handler is Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.


Responsibilities

  • Receive, store and distribute electrical construction materials, tools, equipment, and products
  • Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Perform physical labor to load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets using appropriate equipment
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Perform inventory counts and replenishment stock
  • Deliver or retrieve materials as needed using company vehicles
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
  • Ensure department compliance is being practiced within safety regulations and guidelines
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned as needed to support the operations of the department
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years of experience within a construction environment or electrical wholesale supplier
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50lbs) regularly during the shift
  • Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving report consisting of fewer than two points on a driving record
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test
  • This position requires English literacy with the use of mobile phones, email and MS Office applications
