A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a mid-level Technical Specialist to provide 2nd level engineering support for the Terminal Precipitation on the Glass system (TPoG). The TPoG is a new system that processes NWP precipitation output from multiple weather sensors and provides it to STARS. The program is currently in design/development and support is required for the development of the maintenance concept, testing, maintenance transition planning and requirements definition.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise in requirements analysis, design, design reviews, development, testing, integration, installation and maintenance of computer system.
- Support system development, testing, integration and deployment activities.
- Review and comment on system engineering documents, system requirement documents, system testing documents and system maintenance planning documents.
- Attend system design reviews, technical interchange meetings and any other meetings as requested to support program and team meetings.
- Possess a technical understanding of systems, databases, networking, computing environments and virtualization.
- Develop and manage system engineering artifacts, system requirements artifacts, system testing artifacts and required product baseline artifacts.
- Participate in system test and key site test activities as a tester.
- Work independently with limited supervision.
- Must be willing to travel. On call for site support.
- Full-time position with standard work hours.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required:
- Experience with requirements definition and maintenance planning.
- Experience in performing system testing including issue documentation, troubleshooting, test procedure creation and test report generation.
- Proficient technical writing and oral communication skills.
Preferred:
- Interpret and analyze complex information systems data to develop technical documentation and system diagrams.
- Knowledge of Aviation Weather Products.
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED and ten (10) years of related experience including at least five (5) years of NAS experience OR
- Associate degree in a related field and eight (8) years of related experience including at least five (5) years of NAS experience OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and six (6) years of related experience including at least five (5) years of NAS experience.
Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance. Verification of past employment, education and references is also required. It is imperative that candidates be either a US citizen or a current green card holder with the last 3 consecutive years as a resident of the US.
