MIND 24-7 not only enhances the quality of patient care, but reduces pressure on the mental health system, reducing costly emergency room visits, in-patient treatment, and readmissions for crisis care. In the first year, with now over 450 team members, the company has opened three facilities in the Greater Phoenix are and has served over 10,000 individuals in need of care. Immediate rapid expansion into additional states is planned for the coming year.
Swing Shift options: Monday - Thursday 11am- 9pm
The Behavioral Health Technician (Patient Care Coordinator) oversees the comfort and engagement of the patient during their stay for stabilization. Patient Care Coordinators are trained to assist the patient and clinical team in maintaining calm and therapeutic milieu. They assist the nursing team in obtaining both vitals and point of care testing. They intervene in the administration of Seclusion and Restraint as appropriate.
Essential Job Functions:
- Travels to other clinics as necessary.
- Responsible to maintain the safety and comfort of patients during their stay in the center
- Conducts security screening and inventories property of individuals upon admission to the facility
- Intervenes with escalated individuals using therapeutic techniques for de-escalation and performs restraints/seclusions when needed to ensure the individual's safety and the safety of others.
- Lifts, moves and transports individuals, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention.
- Assists individuals with activities of daily living to include eating, bathing, dressing, toileting and transferring.
- Conducts and documents individual's vitals and reports all questionable results to the RN/Physician attending the individual.
- Conducts and documents all BAL, urine drug screens and urine pregnancy tests.
- Documents all services and significant individual interactions in the electronic health record. Monitors and documents patients Q30.
- Responsible for maintaining and ensuring the cleanliness of the facility and designated assigned unit.
- Performs light cleaning of interior center, collects soiled linen, and launders individuals clothing when needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Depending on setting, may also:
- Float among various clinical services, where qualified and competent
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, or ability to obtain upon hire
