We have an excellent opportunity for you to become one of our Production Associates, gaining valuable experience building critical and detailed electrical/electronic products supporting the U.S. military and commercial customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble electrical or electronic systems and assembly casings using rivets, bolts, soldering, and micro-welding equipment.
  • Route and tie wires to form wire harnesses by reading work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly.
  • Apply crimping, sealing liquid, or soldering to secure components.
  • Insert cable in plastic tubing or inject plastic sealant around terminals to protect cables from dust and moisture.
  • Test wiring continuity using continuity testers.
  • Mark identifying data on completed products for stock inventory or delivery to customers.
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions.
  • Select components/wires of specified color, marking, or length, and loop wires between guide pegs on the harness board, following color-coded lines or sequential numbers on the board or diagrams for assembly.
  • Clean parts using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths.
  • Inspect and test wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits for resistance factors and operation, and record results.
  • Pack finished assemblies for shipment and transport them to storage areas.
  • Identify, adjust, and repair/replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Assist with assembly procedures or techniques to explain to and/or train other workers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED, and/or technical/administrative trade school.
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience in electronic assembly, mechanical assembly, and harness/wire building or related experience.
  • Positions with CME require access to controlled goods and technologies subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations or the Export Administration Regulations. Applicants for these positions need to be "U.S. Persons," as defined in these regulations. Generally, a "U.S. Person" is a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or an individual who has been admitted as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Predictive Index Assessment, background check, reference check, credit check, and drug testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior work experience in the production and processing of manufactured goods, with knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques in the manufacturing and distribution of goods. Additionally, we are seeking individuals with experience in mechanical assembly and familiarity with the necessary tools. The ideal candidate understands torque values (IN LBS vs. FT LBS) and has the ability to read and understand electronic schematics. We will train the right candidates who have an eye for detail and are confident in working with their hands.
