Poudre Infusion Therapy at Columbine is a healthcare service provider that offers outpatient healthcare services to patients suffering from acute and chronic illnesses across various age groups. Our staff is made up of local healthcare professionals from Northern Colorado who are compassionate and dedicated to providing patient-centered care. We are located at 915 Centre Ave Suite #3 in Fort Collins, CO and our healthcare services can be received in the comfort of your home, at Columbine facilities, or ambulatory infusion suites. Our goal is to provide high-quality healthcare to our patients with compassion and commitment.

Regular business hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

We are accepting applications for a Pharmacy Technician able to work:

  • Full-time
  • Monday through Friday
  • 9:00am - 5:00pm

Pharmacy Technician

  • The Pharmacy Technician interprets physician written orders.
  • Answers phone calls and maintains excellent customer service etiquette. Communicates pertinent patient information back to the pharmacists.
  • Assists with scheduling patients for their infusion or medication delivery with the assistance of the pharmacists and nurses.
  • Delivers medications to the appropriate nursing facility, patient homes or ambulatory infusion suite when needed.
  • Pulls necessary medications and supply items for patient specific orders while maintaining accurate records of lot numbers and expiration dates.
  • Adhere to all accreditation standards including but not limited to USP, OSHA, FDA, Colorado board of pharmacy, ACHC, and quality assurance measures as set by the company.
  • Compound sterile compound orders in the clean room while maintaining proper aseptic technique including but not limited to: antibiotics, hydration, chemotherapy, biologics, and narcotics.
  • Ensure compliance with cleaning, deactivating, disinfecting, and sanitizing classified areas as set by the standards of practice and company policy and procedures.
  • Maintains documentation of compounding, delivery, and receiving of orders.
  • Performs calculations for all preparations to validate the pharmacist order before compounding.
  • Receives inventory, inventory input into the pharmacy system, and champions medication and supply cycle management.
  • Orders and maintains the stock of supply items. Follows up with any receiving discrepancies or returns with the supplier.

Qualifications:

  • An active pharmacy Technician Certification license is required
  • Valid driver's license, your own transportation, and maintain an acceptable driving record, per company standards
  • Competent with computer applications
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Must be able to multi-task and have effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience:

  • IV certification is preferred
  • At least 1 year experience with aseptic compounding is preferred
  • Prior Chemotherapy and hazardous compounding experience preferred
  • Home infusion pharmacy technician experience is preferred

Compensation

  • Starting wage between $20.00/hour - $25.00/hour (depending on experience)
