Job Summary:


As a PRN Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate, treat, and monitor patients, modifying therapy programs and goals as needed. You will perform thorough and concise clinical documentation, ensure accurate charge entry, and effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team. This role involves supervising ancillary staff, students, and volunteers while advancing your clinical skills through ongoing education and evidence-based practice.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Evaluate and Treat Patients: Conduct thorough assessments and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Clinical Documentation: Perform timely and accurate clinical documentation and enter charges correctly.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team, providing necessary education.
  • Supervision: Supervise ancillary staff, students, and volunteers, contributing to their development.
  • Ongoing Education: Advance your clinical skills through continued education, literature review, and evidence-based practice.
  • Adhere to Guidelines: Follow organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines, aligning your work with system goals.


Qualifications:


  • Education: Masters degree or Bachelors degree with 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
  • Experience: Less than 1 year of experience required.
  • Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or obtain within 30 days of hire.
