This is a PRN position that will float to the various Imaging Centers for Fairfax Radiology Centers throughout Northern Virginia.
No weekends, holidays, or call Free on-site parking
Additional compensation for being in a float position, as well as mileage reimbursement.
Who you are:
As a Medical Receptionist for Fairfax Radiology Centers (FRC), you embrace the fact that you are the first impression for our patients and family members as they arrive to our Imaging Center. You are empathetic and kind, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and understand the importance of a smile and kind word as you register our patients.
What you will do:
- Greet patients, obtain referral, and indicate their arrival
- Register patients accurately, efficiently, and professionally to ensure data integrity and facilitate timely claims processing, as well as, collecting patient liabilities at point of service.
- Create accurate and complete accounts in information system by obtaining and verifying all necessary information.
- Apply financial screening guidelines and payer requirements to secure financially collectible patient accounts.
- Schedule and register patients for any same day procedures utilizing the appropriate guidelines for the modality.
- Escort patients from entrance to dressing or exam rooms
- Perform patient appointment confirmations and screenings.
What you bring:
- 1+ years’ experience in medical office or hospital patient access experience
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Able to work independently and on a team
- Professional written and verbal communication
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional computer aptitude and ability to use multiple systems and acquire proficiency in multiple electronic systems
