TSA FSM Accountant

Location: TSA - Springfield, VA

POSITION TYPE: Full Time-W2-40/Hours/week

Swingtech is currently looking to fill an Accountant role. Responsibilities & other details are listed below:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provide expert advice on federal accounting requirements, standards, and the implications of new legislation or program initiatives.

· Maintain and operate department-wide financial management and reporting tools to ensure compliance with requirements such as comprehensive cost accounting and integrated financial management.

· Analyze, review, and recommend enhancements for existing financial management systems to optimize performance and compliance.

· Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports, including updates on financial and contractual status, general ledger accounts, quarterly and annual reports, and accounts receivable.

· Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records reflecting the organization's financial status.

· Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures across the agency to ensure consistency and compliance with federal regulations.

· Identify changes in regulations, accounting practices, and operational issues, advising on adjustments needed for efficient fund management and accurate financial reporting.

· Identify key policy issues and priorities, design analytical approaches, evaluate alternative strategies, and present conclusive recommendations to senior management officials.

ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least five years of federal accounting and financial management experience.

• Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is desired.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Demonstrated technical accounting knowledge and analytical capabilities.

• Attention to detail and ability to resolve financial management issues effectively. • Possess a business-related four-year degree (B.S. or B.A. in Accounting desired) and be proficient in:

• Excel (macros & pivot tables)

This position requires a Secret clearance.
