Summary

As a Toddler Teacher at Kradles2Krayons Childcare Development Center, you will play a vital role in the early childhood education and development of our youngest learners. You will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment where children aged 18 months to 2 years old can explore, learn, and thrive.

Duties

  • Curriculum Development:Implement our age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Child Guidance:Provide positive guidance and support to encourage positive behavior and social interactions among children.
  • Observation and Assessment:Observe and assess each child's development and progress, and communicate effectively with administrators and parents.
  • Safety and Supervision:Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, and ensure the well-being and safety of all children at all times.
  • Parent Communication:Establish and maintain open and positive communication with parents and caregivers, including providing regular updates on their child's development and progress.
  • Professional Development:Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.


Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with young children in a childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Job Skills and Qualifications Required:
· Complete all new hire requirements.
· At least a high school diploma
· At least one (1) year of experience in childcare for young children
· Record of immunizations and the ability to pass a background check.
· Ability to develop lesson plans that meet educational standards.
· Familiarity with classroom management skills.
· Decisiveness, patience, and stamina to chase after, lift, or carry children.
· Exceptional communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
· Strong understanding of stages of childhood development.
· Attentiveness to the needs and safety of children.
