This is a full-time, remote position  M-F from 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM. 


Who We Are Looking For:

We’re seeking a qualified Specialty Channel Sales Manager with their own sales skills as well as leadership of a team of independent sales representatives. The ideal sales manager has deep experience with the entire sales process, excelling at sales team management, lead generation, relationship building, and deal closing. We’re looking for a quick learner who has strong negotiating skills, someone with a successful track record, ideally in the outdoor apparel space, who can inspire and drive sales performance in others. The role demands a leader who has a sharp mind and an ability to coach, advise, motivate, or replace sales representatives as needed while building and maintaining a high-performance team.
Represent the Guy Harvey apparel brand effectively with comprehensive knowledge of our unique brand story and product offerings.
Research and identify potential retail accounts that are a great fit for the guy Harvey brand and product offerings.
Hire, train, motivate, and guide a team of independent sales representatives.
Achieve sales objectives by planning, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and making forecasts.
Continuously develop skills for hiring, training, and leading sales team members, and ensure that they're using effective sales tactics to meet our sales objectives.
Generate leads and establish and nurture key Guy Harvey account relationships.         

What you will do:
  • Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands our customer base and extends Guy Harvey’s reach in both current and new markets.
  • Manage all trade show planning and execution processes such as booth preparation, securing appointments, show specials, key account meetings, etc.
  • Meet with potential new accounts and grow long-lasting relationships that address their needs with regard to our products, assortment selection, distribution territories, in-store marketing, etc.
  • Recruit sales representatives, set objectives, train and coach them, and monitor their performance. 
  • Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop plans for filling them.
  • Ensure that Guy Harvey sales budgets are met by holding daily/weekly check-ins with sales team to ensure objectives are being met and monitor progress.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes as it relates to sales objectives and commissions.
Who You Are:
  • Five or more years of experience managing a sales team within the Specialty Channel, ideally with the outdoor and/or resort retail accounts.
  • Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Superb leadership ability.
  • Ability to travel at least 25% of the time.
  • Motivational speaking experience
  • Proven success rate at achieving sales levels above budget.
