Position Overview: As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining our AS9100D & ISO13485 Certifications. You’ll support our team in new product development and documentation, lead 8D CAR and SCAR defect resolution initiatives, and ensure that all products meet both customer and regulatory specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance: Review design plans, process procedures, test procedures, and quality manuals to ensure alignment with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Product Integrity: Ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality and integrity.
  • Support & Analysis: Work closely with the product development and operations teams, providing expertise throughout the inspection process. Identify root causes of production issues and customer complaints, and implement corrective measures.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze quality data to identify trends and prevent future defects.
  • Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with federal, state, local, and industry standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in APQP, PPAP, FAI, SPC, and blueprint reading.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • In-depth knowledge of production processes or the ability to quickly learn.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with developers, project managers, and customer support.
  • Thorough understanding of industry standards, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • ASQ Certifications are preferred:
    • CQA – Certified Quality Auditor
    • CQE – Certified Quality Engineer
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Plastic Injection Molding.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Quality Engineer.
