Kim’s is James Beard Award-winning Chef Ann Kim’s new restaurant located in Uptown Minneapolis.  Our bustling dining room and bar is the backdrop to a menu filled with craveable Korean American cuisine and delicious classic and unique drinks.  

We are currently looking for a Front of the House Manager who can contribute their industry skills and expertise while also learning and growing with us as a leader.  If you want to work in an environment where your heart and creativity matter as much as your ability to accomplish basic FOH manager tasks, we want to meet you  

What you’ll be doing as Front of House Manager:
In this role, you’ll manage evening service, nurture a healthy culture for our talented guest-facing team, and take responsibility for:  

  • Executing the hospitality vision and managing steps of service for the main dining room + bar, Bronto Bar, and private events
  • Training, mentoring, and leading an engaged, thriving, high-performing team
  • Managing front-of-house systems and processes that streamline operations, increase productivity, and ensure financial sustainability
  • Working closely with the GM and Bartender Leads to maintain quality standards for our bar program

What you’ll need to be successful in this position:
A passion for people and creating craveable experiences, and also:
  • Effective hospitality and interpersonal skills, along with a willingness to teach, learn, and evolve
  • 5+ years experience in the hospitality industry with a passion for food and beverage
  • 2 years experience in restaurant leadership or team supervision
  • Interest and ability to practice highly active, supportive management style while in service
  • Ability to navigate conflict with heart and integrity
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Basic restaurant and computer software proficiency: we use Toast, Resy, 7shifts, and the Gmail business suite
  • Availability that including weekends and nights
  • Courage to take risks and embrace failure as part of any creative process, and compassion to support others when they’re doing the same
