MRG Labs is looking for a Business Development Representative to join our team in our York, PA office. The Business Development Representative is responsible for prospecting sales and qualifying leads for new and existing accounts and advancing these leads through the sales and customer development cycle. Additionally, this person will manage our marketing initiatives, including website, social media, and trade shows, to provide an effective platform to communicate our unique offerings to potential and existing customers. This person will be naturally curious, results-driven, and eager to bring our products and services to new markets.

Responsibilities: 

  • Contact and qualify leads - Prospect new sales leads by making an initial phone or email contact. Engage the account and prepare them for the Account Executive. Connect with as many leads as possible to encourage the purchase of the product offered. Be the point person for your team's sales lead qualification process.
  • Manage current accounts – Stay in close contact with existing accounts or leads and create brand awareness, educational opportunities, and request referrals. Coordinate in-person meetings and calls between the new clients and Account Executives.
  • Customer support –  Answer calls and emails from clients, identify the issue and make suggestions for future or new products or services.  
  • Social media strategy and execution -- Develop and organized and carefully planned strategic to communicate effectively the organization's Unique Value Proposition, brand awareness, and case study examples of customer's successfully utilizing our products and services.
  • Marketing initiatives -- Working within a dedicated budget, this individual will plan a cost-effective strategy for multiple platforms to reach and communicate with existing and prospective customers and industry segments, with the goal of demonstrating a return-on-investment of marketing dollars measured in sales.
  • Trade show and technical conference participation -- This individual will represent the organization at key industry events, domestically and internationally, and ensure that all planning, shipping, setup and execution for these events is accomplished in support of other technical employee presentations, with the goal of developing clearly defined customer prospects, and a plan to generate sales as a result of participation.
  • Evaluation and proposal of business tool enhancements -- This individual will assess current software, websites, CRM, e-commerce and other tools supporting sales and marketing, and generate enhanced or alternative approaches to extend marketing reach, sales yields, and customer fulfillment effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Marketing or Business Administration is preferred
  • BS degree in Other degree or equivalent experience is required
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics

About MRG Labs

MRG Labs has been operating oil and grease lubricant laboratories since 2006.  Our laboratory is a center for both customer sample analysis and R&D.  A leader in the development of the tools for sampling and analyzing greases, there is an environment of continuous innovation.  This includes collaborative research with the students and faculty of York College of Pennsylvania in developing laboratory automation solutions using robotics and automated data transfer and evaluation.  The York PA location is the center of our Quality Program efforts, that include the development and enhancement of procedures to achieve and maintain ISO 17025 certification.  These efforts support the US Army Oil Analysis Program (AOAP) where MRG Labs employees are working in one of the most extensive, detailed, and impactful lubricant analysis programs worldwide. AOAP is a maintenance diagnostic program that monitors lubricant condition and detects impending component failures, allowing Army units to identify faults and perform maintenance before more severe/catastrophic damage to components occurs. AOAP contractor operated laboratories are located throughout the world with three CONUS and two OCONUS regional locations. 

MRG Labs is known worldwide for our unique technology, the Grease Thief.  This tool, which is a "blood test for machinery" is backed by 4 key US Patents, multiple ASTM standards, and wide acceptance in industries and applications including aerospace, military, pharmaceutical manufacturing, robotic manufacturing, pulp and paper, steel and other metals, railroads, petrochemicals, and wind power.  The Grease Thief technology is found in laboratories across North America, Asia, and multiple locations in Europe.
