  1. Supervise and mentor the Director, Donor Services & Projects, Assistant Director - Endowment Accounting, Food Pantry Manager, and other related positions, as assigned
  2. Support the direction, mentoring and enhancements of the Donor Services Group, the Endowment Accounting team, and the Food Pantry team.
  3. Actively engage with the Director, Data Services to drive the implementation of new and effective data repositories and data integration solutions.
  4. Support the annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the Senior CFO/COO; monitor progress and keep senior leadership abreast of the organization’s financial status.
  5. Support Director, Treasury to manage organizational cash flow and forecasting.
  6. Provide overall financial oversight and monitoring, including developing, implementing, and improving sound fiscal management practices and internal controls.
  7. Oversee the effective tracking, management, and reporting of pledge revenue and pledge accounts receivable.
  8. Support the diligent and timely collection of open pledge receivables and reconciling open pledge balances collections and identifying and writing off uncollectible pledges.
  9. Oversee monthly accounting processes, including donor transactions, financial tracking of grants and restricted gifts.
  10. Implement a robust contracts management reporting system; ensure financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements.
  11. Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; develop financial reporting materials for all donor segments and oversee all project/program and grants accounting.
  12. Coordinate and lead the annual audit and tax return preparation and filing process; liaise with external auditors and the finance committee and audit committee of the board of directors.
  13. Oversee all the federal and state specific regulatory filings for both the organization and its related Foundation for Day Schools.
  14. Provide staff support to the finance committee and audit committee of the Board of Directors.
  15. Work collaboratively with Senior CFO/COO and leadership team to implement new strategic initiatives.
  16. Work collaboratively with Senior CFO/COO and the leadership team to develop, implement, maintain, and improve the strategic financial plan. Provide financial input for all strategic planning processes.

  9. Education and professional experience. BS/BA degree with at least 5-7 years of experience managing finance in an established organization. CPA preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; experience using Abila MIP, Blackbaud CRM, and Sage Intacct a plus.
