Manager on Duty:

  • Responsible for providing excellent customer service, answering telephone calls, scanning member cards, assisting members and guests with questions, and referring members and guests to the appropriate staff.
  • Completes business transactions related to the payment of memberships, programs, services, childcare services, etc.
  • Understands all emergency procedures, acts responsibly during emergencies, and completes appropriate incident reports.
  • Provides security for the YMCA, ensuring the safety of members, guests, and co-workers while at the YMCA.
  • Is a visible presence at the facility - observing and taking action regarding inappropriate activity within the building, in the parking lots and "green spaces" belonging to the Y.
  • Assists the Member Services Coordinators with initial and ongoing training of team members.

Pay & Benefits:

  • $16.50+/hour
  • Part-Time Benefits: Part-time employees begin accruing Sick Leave immediately upon hire and Paid Time Off (PTO) after one year of employment, Free YMCA Membership
  • All employees receive a free YMCA membership

Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years old
  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • Within one week of hire: CPR/First Aid Certification for Adult/Child/Infant
