Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSeeking a Language Services Coordinator for our Language Department

Back to Basics Learning Dynamics has a vibrant and growing language department. We provide Translation and Interpretation services to State agencies. As the Language Coordinator, you will be handling the in-box of requests, coordinating interpreter jobs, handling customer service, as well as invoicing job approvals. We are busy every day and need a coordinator that is organized, can multi-task, and has good communication skills. You will report to our Director of Operations.

Location: This position is in-person in our Wilmington, DE office. 
Hours: During office hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Employment Type: This is a Full-time position of 30+ hours plus benefits

Position Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership, assignments, and supervision of qualified language interpretations to facilitate and provide language services to parents, families, schools, entities, and medical facilities. 
  •  Coordination of interpreters, and other staff within the Language Department, using web-based productivity, scheduling, and collaboration tools. 
  • Review weekly scheduled jobs for accuracy and completion for payroll and billing
  • Coordinate academic, technical, and legal compliance of work for clients. 
  • Process Payroll every other week and provide a monthly state report of all jobs.
  • Participate in the development of policies and strategies and carry out their implementation. 
  • Provide technical assistance and customer service to internal and external stakeholders daily.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Sound judgment, initiative, professionalism, flexibility, and aptitude for administrative detail.
  • Great time management and prioritization skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Multi-tasking abilities are a must
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in education, foreign language, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience (administrative/office experience required). A plus if you have prior experience scheduling jobs.
  • Must possess exceptional communication skills for customer service via email and phone.
  • Evidence of fluency in English and another language is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and TEAMS
