ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

  • Ensure all employees are working and working in a safe manner.
  • Organize the workload between all functions, ensuring truckloads are ready for shipment at dock time.
  • Oversee all leading processes, ensuring stock from Plants 1 and 2 are unloaded and ensuring stock from the CDC to off-site warehouses are completed.
  • Oversee picking functions, ensuring customer pickups are completed and loaded in a timely manner as well as LTL and CVL loads.
  • Oversee put-away function to ensure process is followed and ensuring there is space available to put away stock.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and necessary supplies are available.
  • Coordinate Preventative Maintenance on all forklifts and ensure forklift maintenance is completed.
  • Ensure all batteries are properly maintained and being used in a safe manner and schedule repairs.
  • Acts as a backup for Logistics Coordinator, and in the absence of Abe Wilson.
  • Ensure proper loading of TLS, LTL and CPUs in regards to weights, accuracy and order of drops, following any drop notes that are on the cover sheets.
  • Operate a reach truck, tow motor, order picker, standing extender, pallet jack and forklift.
  • Keep accurate records.
  • Train/coach employees and address employee concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, Supervisors, and other Departments.
  • Follow safety guidelines and company standards. Adhere to proper PPE.
  • Communicate, adhere to, and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.
  • Perform any other duties that may be required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Prior experience in logistics
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Good interpersonal skills in dealing with employees
  • Must be able to use company-specific computer applications
  • Must pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test and criminal background check

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Climbing, bending, walking/standing 8+ hours a day, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling tile.
  • Lifting 50-100 pounds, either alone or with the assistance of another employee, in conformity with lifting techniques detailed in safety policies and training materials.
  • Working at heights
  • Dexterity with hands for use of equipment
  • Vision must be sufficient to see and locate items clearly

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

  • 7 am to 4 pm
  • Includes a one-hour unpaid lunch. Work hours may vary based on need. Overtime required as necessary.
