Position Overview:

Royal Oak is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor.

In this capacity, the selected candidate will oversee the shipping team within the warehouse, focusing on optimizing efficiency, inventory management, and strategic storage solutions.

The individual will coordinate various operational tasks within the shipping department and collaborate closely with the unit's supervisor on performance management initiatives.

This role is designated for the first shift, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute warehouse tasks including picking, staging, and loading customer orders, as well as managing inbound receiving processes.
  • Conduct quality assessments on outgoing shipments and implement corrective measures as necessary.
  • Ensure timely shipment of customer orders while meeting all specified requirements.
  • Provide training to warehouse staff as needed.
  • Leverage team resources to efficiently manage the loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Complete necessary documentation accurately.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and assist in identifying and mitigating safety risks.
  • Regularly report to the supervisor regarding team and individual performance, achievements, and challenges.
  • Support physical inventory counts of raw materials and finished products, ensuring compliance with inventory processes.
  • Perform additional duties to facilitate daily operations as required.
  • Assist the Supervisor with various responsibilities when necessary.
  • Carry out all job functions in a timely and effective manner.
  • Contribute to cost reduction initiatives within the plant.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, strong leadership capabilities, and exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing work demands.
  • Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to build effective working relationships across all organizational levels (both written and verbal).
  • Safety must be a top priority for the candidate.
  • Analytical skills with a commitment to accuracy, quality, problem-solving, and attention to detail are required.
  • Effective time management and the ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure are critical for success in this position.
  • Extensive experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting is necessary.

Education:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two years of relevant work experience is preferred.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Availability to work overtime and occasionally on weekends with short notice.
  • Work environment includes casual manufacturing and distribution settings with concrete floors and moving equipment.
