Key Responsibilities:
Qualified candidates must possess the capability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to execute the following tasks:
- Ensure all personnel are engaged in their duties safely.
- Distribute tasks among all operations, guaranteeing that shipments are prepared for dispatch at scheduled times.
- Supervise all primary processes, confirming that inventory from various plants is received and that transfers to external warehouses are executed efficiently.
- Manage picking operations, ensuring timely completion of customer pickups and loading of both LTL and CVL shipments.
- Oversee the put-away process to ensure adherence to procedures and availability of storage space.
- Maintain all equipment and ensure that necessary supplies are readily available.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance for all forklifts and ensure that maintenance tasks are performed.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe usage of batteries, scheduling repairs as needed.
- Act as a substitute for the Logistics Coordinator when required.
- Verify the accurate loading of TLS, LTL, and CPUs, considering weight, precision, and drop order as indicated on shipping documents.
- Operate various types of material handling equipment including reach trucks, tow motors, order pickers, standing extenders, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
- Maintain precise records of operations.
- Train and mentor staff while addressing any employee issues.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company standards, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Enforce company policies and procedures consistently.
- Uphold cleanliness standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
