We are seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper/Porter to join our team and help maintain the beauty and functionality of our property, ensuring the highest standard of service for our residents. 

Job Summary

As a Groundskeeper/Porter at Yellow Tree, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the property's aesthetics, cleanliness, and overall functionality. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment for our residents and guests. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Grounds Maintenance

• Perform daily inspection and maintenance of the landscaping, including trimming, weeding, and planting. 
• Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of all outdoor common areas, including walkways, courtyards, and recreational areas. 
• Implement a regular watering schedule for plants, trees, and grass to maintain their health and appearance. 

• Monitor and report any signs of damage or deterioration in the outdoor facilities and coordinate repairs as necessary. 

Building Care

• Keep all public and common indoor areas clean, including lobbies, hallways, and fitness centers. 
• Maintain cleanliness and order in storage areas and maintenance rooms. 
• Conduct routine inspections for cleanliness and safety, promptly addressing any issues that may arise. 

Snow Removal and Seasonal Maintenance

• Assist the maintenance team with snow and ice removal from walkways during winter months. 
• Assist with seasonal property maintenance tasks, such as leaf removal, and winterizing outdoor equipment. 

Guest and Resident Interaction

• Provide a friendly and helpful presence for residents and guests. 

• Assist with move-ins and move-outs by ensuring that common areas and pathways are clear and safe. 

Reporting and Documentation

• Document and report any maintenance or safety issues to the Property Manager promptly. 
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, including inventory of supplies and equipment. 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. 
• Previous experience in groundskeeping or property maintenance required. 
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy objects. 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to cleanliness and safety. 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed.
