Shop Supervisor

We're seeking a skilled and ambitious Shop Supervisor to join our state-of-the-art, Remanufacturing Electrical Rotating Department.


Job Duties:

  • Lead in scheduling and prioritizing the workload.
  • Resolve problems and issues for technicians to ensure optimal utilization.
  • Complete and submit all paperwork and reports within the allowed timeframe, ensuring all information is complete.
  • Inspect equipment and report additional repair needs to the Manager and/or Customer to prevent dissatisfaction and increase revenue opportunities.
  • Comply with all EH&S system training and instructions, promptly report unsafe conditions, and promote safety among peers.
  • Generate new customers and sales through cold calling to promote Core Machinery services.
  • Assist in expanding specialty services and marketing by sharing new ideas and shop promotions.
  • Control expenses in the shop and field on all jobs while maintaining positive profit margins.
  • Expedite the invoice process through thorough communication and positive customer relations.
  • Meet budget sales figures and maintain budgeted gross profit margins while minimizing rework.
  • Collaborate effectively with others to ensure departmental success and promote the free flow of information and ideas across departments.
  • Ensure all customers, internal and external, are kept informed of issues.
  • Understand the functions of this and other departments within the branch, preparing for possible other assignments through continuous learning.
  • Assist technicians in the timely completion of work, providing guidance and mentoring to less-experienced technicians.

Are You In?

  • 5-7 years of supervisory experience in related field (AC and DC Motors, Transmissions, Cylinders Rebuilds).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Experience with Komatsu equipment is a plus.
