Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Benefits and Wellness Specialist to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our benefits and wellness initiatives to support our employees' physical, mental, and financial well-being. This role requires strong organizational skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

The Benefits and Wellness Specialist will report to the HR Manager and will be expected to work five days a week in our Somerset, NJ office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage comprehensive benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
  • Administer and manage all aspects of employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, short-term and long-term disability, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, brokers, and insurance providers to ensure the smooth administration of benefits plans.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of existing benefits programs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and deliver employee communications regarding benefits enrollment, changes, and updates.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Plan, promote, and execute wellness initiatives and activities aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and work-life balance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to organize wellness events, workshops, and educational sessions.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices related to benefits and wellness programs, recommending adjustments to ensure competitiveness and compliance with regulations.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and documentation related to benefits and wellness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration, wellness program management, or related HR function.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred but not required.
