WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Once selected to join our team, you will:
- Operate vacuum trucks and related tools and equipment, including jackhammers, pogo-tampers, concrete saws, compressor blowers, vacuum hoses, air lances, and hand tools.
- Drive commercial motor vehicles as needed for work assignments.
- Complete paperwork accurately, including record-keeping and basic mathematics.
- Perform daily basic maintenance on vehicles.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of vehicles, work sites, and equipment.
- Set up maintenance of traffic as directed.
- Make basic field measurements.
- Perform simple geophysical prospecting as instructed.
- Handle other duties and projects as assigned.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of operating specialized equipment related to subsurface utility engineering.
- Understanding of safety compliance and regulations.
- Familiarity with record-keeping and basic mathematics.
SKILLS:
- Proficiency in operating vacuum trucks and related tools/equipment.
- Ability to drive commercial motor vehicles.
- Competence in completing paperwork and basic maintenance tasks.
- Skill in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness.
- Capability to set up maintenance of traffic and make field measurements.
- Aptitude for performing simple geophysical prospecting.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in vacuum excavation tasks and supporting overall crew activities related to subsurface utility engineering is preferred.
EDUCATION:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Additional training or certification related to the field is beneficial.
