Oak+Elixir is opening a full-service, coastal dining restaurant in Encinitas Ca. We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef De Cuisine to lead our culinary team. As our Chef De Cuisine, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations. You will develop and execute seasonal menus, manage kitchen staff, implement cost controls, and ensure that every dish meets our high standard of quality, presentation, and flavor. The ideal candidate is a creative and passionate culinary professional with a proven track record in a fast-paced full-service restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

·     Lead, mentor, and inspire the culinary team to deliver exceptionally flavorful food, quality and presentation.

·     Develop and design innovative menus that align with our restaurant’s vision and appeal to our customer base.

·     Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering, and scheduling staff.

·     Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

·     Control food and labor costs to maximize profitability.

·     Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

·     Collaborate with front of house staff to ensure a seamless service each day.

Qualifications:

·     Proven experience as a Chef De Cuisine or Executive Chef in a full-service restaurant.

·     Exceptional culinary skills with a passion for high quality food and ingredients.

·     Strong leadership and team management abilities.

·     Experience with menu development and cost control.

·     Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of professionalism.

·     Culinary degree or equivalent experience required.

·     Knowledge of current food trends and commitment to using fresh, local ingredients.
