Occupational Health Specialist /EMT


PMR Healthcare is looking for Part-time/Temporary Occupational Health Specialist / EMT for our client, their employees, and families in a multi-specialty clinic located in Sherman, Texas.

 

PMR has been providing global healthcare solutions for employers since 2005. As a dynamic, growing company, PMR provides a unique experience that differs vastly from a traditional hospital or clinic setting. PMR is always searching for individuals who want to make a positive impact on their communities to join our team. This is the perfect opportunity for a provider interested in full scope family practice, who would like more time with patients to focus on preventative care and root cause medicine and prefers a set weekly schedule.


The individual selected for this position will provide occupational care to PMR’s client.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Stabilize injuries by responding to accidents, determining the extent of injuries, and following first aid procedures.
  • Send serious injuries to outside medical practitioners by determining the need for additional treatment and calling the ambulance.
  • Document first aid actions by completing provided logs.
  • Complete COVID-19 screening for clients’ employees if required.
  • Complete documentation specified by PMR Healthcare and the client.
  • Keep PMR provided supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders as needed, and verifying receipt. 
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, as well as complying with legal regulations. 
  • Perform physical exams, case management, and medical documentation.
  • Update professional knowledge by maintaining certification(s) and staying up to date with latest technical publications.
  • Perform random drug screens on clients’ employees and contractors.

 

Hiring Requirements:

  • Licensed or certified EMT (National Registry preferred but not required). 
  • 5+ years’ experience in your field of expertise are preferred but not required. 
  • 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory level role in a clinic setting.
  • Basic computer skills preferred (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to perform duties with little supervision. 
  • Comfortable multi-tasking, managing your own time, and communicating with the offsite Operations Manager.
