Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Determine what welding equipment and methods to use based on requirements
  • Set-up components to specifications
  • Prepare and align parts for welding
  • Join components, repair holes and cut through materials using specialized welding equipment
  • Inspect surfaces and structures
  • Maintain equipment.
  • Attend and participate in daily morning safety meetings, pre-lift meetings, and any other safety meeting held onsite.
  • Must be able to pass weld test to procedure required by customer.
  • Must be able to pull measurements and have basic knowledge of pipe fitting.
  • Must be able to read isometric drawings and have knowledge of piping materials.
  • Must label welds with stencil provided by customer.
  • Must transfer heat numbers to all pipe pups that are cut.

Basic/Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Requirement(s)

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Must be able to be on feet for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to pass a basic physical with physician.
  • Must be able to pass a Pulmonary Fit Test for respirator wear.
