Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and analyzing financial data to support decision-making processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a talented team and contribute to the company's continued success.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee, and participate in, day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and accruals.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Stay current on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and recommend process improvements as needed.
- Assist with external audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a software or technology company.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence decision-making.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Prior experience in a private equity-backed company or familiarity with private equity investment structures is a plus.
